Today the world has given a name to the new generation "Millennials", born between 1984 and 1997 but what are millennials? They are people who adapt easily and quickly to changes.

Strauss & Howe in their book Millennials Rising: The Next Great Generation, in which they describe the generation Y as more civic, rejecting the attitude of the baby boomer and generation X. Those that belonging to generation Y possess a critical personality, and they have with strategic thinking as well as being sociable. Attach great importance to their autonomy and freedom, for their ideology they think that everyone should have their own opinion, to be heard regardless of age or experience.

According to research by the Pew Research Center, 50% of generation Y describes themselves as politically independent and about 30% declare they are not affiliated with any religion.

Companies every day have greater challenges in recruiting staff because of the great generational gaps between different positions, one of these gaps are marked by the millennials. Young people between 20 and 35 years old, who became adults at the turn of the millennium.

This is something that really demands transformations from companies because working with us is another story.

Millennials are not only "slaves" of technology and social networks, but there is something else, they have a characteristic, are interested in the rest, culture, nature, want to change the world, is a generation that despite technology still want to rescue things from the past and have the joy of being passionate and happy with simple things, like going to the theater, having a coffee with a friend or reading a book. They are a somewhat relaxed generation, they are like modern hippies, just that they bathe.

I think the world shouldn’t worry about us, but for the generations that preside over us, they don’t have a great cultural interest, it's as if technology is consuming their minds slowly.

We bear the changes, technology has made many changes in less than 20 years and we have dealt with it, we still know how to enjoy the company of friends or family and we don't have problem with leaving the phone aside to interact with them.

We may have part of our past in social networks but we have much of this in printed photos, we remember how frustrating it was, that our favorite record was so scratched that it stuck, ‘cause we put it on all the time. We are a mixture between the past and the present, therefore we are not as bad as we seem.
